Okay... let me see if Ive got this right... Russia is backing the central government of Iraq along with Iran, which is pretty much calling the shots directly through its stooge, al Maliki. ISIS, who everyone agrees are the bad guys and who wear black to prove it, is briskly recruiting from the Sunni population oppressed and disenfranchised by the new ruling Shia central government of Iraq - which the United States helped create. The United States wants to do something about ISIS, and always likes to launch targeted attacks, which would in effect be helping the Central Government making us allies with Iran and Russia. But the U.S. seems to think Russia and Iran are really bad guys no matter what they do or say. Meanwhile, many U.S. allies in the region including Qatar, UAE, and Saudi Arabia are backing Sunnis in Iraq with millions of religious donation dollars going to Sunni groups in Syria and Iraq, including ISIS. The United States has said that al Maliki has to insure a more inclusive government... but internally the only people who can offer credible resistance to ISIS are Shia and happen to be his own version of the Teaparty - al Sadr and the Shia Mahdi Army ... who were mortal enemies of the United States and whom Russia, Iran, and probably the United States will help on the battlefield. Do I have that right?
