Okay, lets try this for the sake of argument: Mohamed was the perfect human being. He was the nicest man to ever walk this earth. Sweet dude. The guy you wouldnt hesitate to bring back to meet your parents after the first date. But the book he produced? Not so perfect. It prescribes a lot of graphic and rather cruel punishments that have no place in todays modern society. Mo might have been a great chap, but he wasnt the best author around, and, like it or not, a lot of the fiery stuff that he penned down were just a disaster waiting to happen. Im not even talking about God or Mohamed now. Im talking about the sources of Islam: the Quran and the Hadiths. There is a lot of violence advocated within those dusty pages, or maybe its simply susceptible to interpretations of violence on an ordinary reading by the reasonable man. Even if its just that, its still bad enough for it to deserve criticism, condemnation, and, yes, blame. Im so tired talking about religion. Goodnight! #JeSuisCharlie
