Okay, now the answer to the question: “How much does God love - TopicsExpress

Okay, now the answer to the question: “How much does God love you?” God is infinite in nature and obviously has no limits, however that does not tell you how much He loves you, just as me telling you that my car’s top speed is 100 miles an hour is not an indication that I have ever taken it to that limit. The real question would be, does God give me a measure, or percentage of love, that is different than He gives to someone else? Well there is a definite answer to that, so here we go. Let’s start by saying this:God is One, and God is indivisible. You cannot have a percentage of God, it’s either all or nothing. God, though He is tri-une, is not 3, but one. Jesus is not 1/3, the Father, 1/3, and the Holy Spirit 1/3; but in fact the scripture tells us that in Jesus the “fullness of the Godhead dwelt bodily”. Jesus said to Philip, “when you see me, you see the Father”. Jesus said, (John 14 18-20) “I will not leave you fatherless: but I will come to you.” Jesus said I will send the Holy Ghost unto you. Jesus said in John 14:23 “My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. ...” What is inside you anyway? Do you have a part of God, or the indivisible fulness of God”. There are plenty of scriptures to prove the fact that you have the Spirit of the Father living in you. You have the Spirit of the Son in you. You have the Holy spirit within…..summing that up, you have the fulness of the Godhead in you. Now for the next point; “God is Love”. Love is the very essence of His being that is why the Word says; I John 4:16 “God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. .” God isn’t just some kind of human love that can fade away; He is the very essence of pure Agape love, that like Himself, cannot be divided, cannot be reduced, and cannot pass away. Okay, so HOW MUCH DOES GOD LOVE YOU???? Here it is in a few short scriptures; John 17:22&23 22 “I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one”— 23 “I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” How much does the Father love the Son? With His total, indivisible everything, without reservation….But in that verse we read, did you catch it? Here is the part I’m talking about, …”Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them EVEN AS YOU HAVE LOVED ME.” !!!! The Father loves you with the same exact measure that He loves the Son! But wait, there’s more! How much does Jesus love us? John 15:9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.” Jesus loves us to the same degree as the Father loves us which is to the same degree that the Father loves the Son! That’s beyond fantastic, but there is one more mind blowing point left. We must understand that Jesus commanded us to do things as believers that we are actually capable of doing. Anything He commands, we have been equipped to accomplish. Here goes; John 15:12 “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” Sounds sweet, doesn’t it? Well think for a minute about what it really means….That immeasurable, infinite 100 percent of His whole being kind of love that the Father loves you with, and that He loves the Son with; that same love that Jesus loves us with; is the exact measure of love that we are commanded to love each other with. We have thought that we as mere humans, could never love with that pure magnificent, infinite and perfect love that the Father has, and yet Jesus just commanded us to do exactly that! It’s time not to just raise the bar, but to remove it entirely. We have been given some things in the Spirit that we are then instructed to freely give others. If you didn’t already have it, then He wouldn’t have commanded you to give it. Like Peter said to the lame man at the gate called beautiful; “Such as I have, I give to you.” The only thing that limits you from being everything God has called you to be in the Spirit, are the self imposed artificial limitations that we have allowed our natural mind to put on us. Take the limits off and be a Son of God in not in measure, but in the fullness of Christ, and begin to show the Father’s mind blowing love to everyone you meet.
