Okay people, I was just having a lovely conversation about who would be nice to see next year (Jeffery Combs. Jus sayin) and the thread hit Ron Burgundy levels of escalation and got deleted by the poster, it seems. I didnt start the thread, I was just participating in a light-hearted, fun discussion, and I am irked that one of the few times I chose to come out of the my little hole-in-the-rock to participate in this community I love turned sour almost instantly. I didnt attend the con this year because of reasons that stem all the way back to the previous year, and others reasons as well. I know it was a huge success this year, and I am glad for that; I know that everyone who participated did their part and gave a mathematically improbably percent of their time to make it a great thing. Thank you for making it a thrill for my wife and kids, who did attend and had a blast. I guess Im just venting about a sour note that I wasnt expecting. Geekdom is my life, and I need to get back into it, not be driven further away. Heres to hoping we can all stay above board and be nice and polite and appreciate others different opinions in the aftermath of an extremely emotionally charged and passionate event. Peace to all, live long and simply walk right into District 12, and lets keep this page vehemence free while the con organizers recover from their afterglow, so they can process what they need to, and dont have to moderate petty squabbles in the meantime. Imma go back to my crack in the wall under the stairs, now. /rant
