Okay, so far as we know this happened only once so this is not some nationwide trend and we should not panic, but.... This actually happened. Some sick ignorant individual glued razorblades to various pieces of playground equipment in East Moline, Illinois. There were about a dozen glued on with a white putty-like substance. A toddler suffered a minor injury and was treated at home. Now you know what you have to do. Since this is making the rounds of social media (and in this case I think it should), there may be other ignorant sick individuals who think it would be cool to copycat this crime. So when you go to the park, please check over the equipment, which you should be doing anyway to check for things like drug paraphernalia, used condoms, dog poop, and the like. If you dont have kids but your daily walk or exercise take you close to playgrounds, take a moment of your time and check them out. You will be doing a good deed and helping your community.
