Okay so for my first proper post I feel its appropriate to give you all a bit of a short background about myself so here goes. Firstly some fun facts; *Im 19 years old *I live in Melbourne, Australia *My eyesight is comparable to that of a potato *My left eye is lazy and I suffer exercise induced Asthma *I have a fissured tongue and a lisp *Ive been doing bodybuilding training seriously for just under a year *However I have been training for just over 2 years now *I originally wanted to be a professional Football (Soccer) player, however I received a career ending injury at 16 that left me unable to fulfill this dream, it also greatly inhibits my ability to run *I was a 100m sprinter in my early teen years *I love Football and support Chelsea FC *My idols are Josh Jones, Steve Cook and Didier Drogba I got into bodybuilding originally because of 2 reason, I was tired of being picked on and bullied because I was small and I had ended any hopes of a professional Football (Soccer) career thanks to a very severe ankle injury. When I first started I was also battling quite a few mental illness and having lots of issues with school and it quickly became my escape, soon I was dedicating hours a day to the gym, with even more time spent researching everything I possibly could. As you can imagine it soon became a much bigger part of my life and actually aided most other aspects of my life, my mental illness were become much more controllable, to the point I was completely off medication and no longer seeing a doctor and my grades quickly increased. My ambitions soon changed and I knew I wanted to dedicate myself to helping others achieve their goals in relation to fitness, seeing how much of a positive effect it had on me I couldnt wait to see what it could do for others. Toward the end of 2013 a close friend of mine convinced me that I should compete and I rushed into my first competition, I had little time to prepare for it and was more in it for the experience (I ended up placing 3rd) and to see if competing was my thing, I instantly fell in love with it and set my sights higher, now hoping to compete at Nationals and eventually Worlds, aiming to earn my Pro Card in the process. All I hope is that along the way I can inspire and help others to achieve their goals, whether fitness related or not, I would be truly blessed if I were able to do so.
