Okay, so with the re-casting of Channing Tatum as everyones favorite creole (Gambit, for you few uninitiated), I have been thinking about other characters who could be given some justice by a recast: Cyclops: James Marsden kinda dropped the ball here, although I think it was partly due to the writing. Cyclops is essentially the leader in the field for the X-men, throughout much of its modern canon. Marsden was kinda a wet towel... Limp, unexciting, or anywhere near in control. Id like to see an actor who could bring a sense of authority, natural swagger (without being over-the-top) and gravitas. Im thinking Matt Bomer. Banshee: not sure exactly what was up with the redhead Shaggy Rodgers guy they had in Forst Class. Banshee was a very headstrong Irishman, who was known for pretty much being a level twelve trimslayer. Somebody smooth, like Simon Baker would be fun. I guess you could recast almost every role and it would be fun to see what people come up with. Storm desperately needs to be recast, especially with the Apocalypse story line coming up and the awesome 80s Mohawk look she had. Oh, and of course, everyones favorite, Deadpool. I dont know who would be my favorite choice to play the Merc with a mouth. But at least once each production, he would have to break the fourth wall and talk to the audience, a la Zack Morris, and, well, Deadpool. Even if it was a credits scene or something.
