Okay, this close to Thanksgiving? I am not thankful for Ferguson and the horrible opportunistic people who have caused so much heartache and tension between the races. They are wicked and deserve the destruction they have wrought upon others. I am thankful for the wonderful people who are trying to make a difference in that situation and I pray protection and empowerment for them. I am most appreciative of the Officer Wilsons of our society. I am not thankful for our Administration, all the government agencies, and the countless ways all the people involved are making life so hard for the American people, with laws and taxes and regulations, trying to divide us and incite hatred. I am thankful, so thankful that I am an American, born in a Constitutional Republic. I am a privileged citizen of the United States of America. So grateful for that. I am not thankful for the way the media has sacrificed our citizenry for expedience and profits sake. I am thankful for my education and for the fact that I do not need the media to inform me or enlighten me about the evil intent of evil people. I am not thankful for people who treat me and the people I care about like the reason for everything that is wrong in America. I am not thankful for their attempts to make me feel guilty for every little perceived wrong and injustice. I heartily resent that those people choose my color, my education, and my ambitions as the scapegoat for their own sluggardly inclinations and that they see nothing wrong with robbing me of the fruits of my investment in my own future or the future of my loved ones. I am not thankful for people who lie like it was breath. I am very thankful for honorable, trustworthy, and honest people. I am not thankful for the declining morality of our citizenry. I am thankful for a God that can right every injustice, reverse every decline, and repay every theft. I am especially thankful that the same God who stands as my vanguard also loves and empowers me to envision great things and that not only is He loving, He is JUST. I rely on the character of God tremendously. I am not thankful for despotic trends and fads that encourage people to licentious behavior. I am thankful for traditions and remembrances and all the wonderful memories of those things in my life. And finally? I am so very grateful that God is in the business of redemption and that He has chosen to keep me very close to Him. At no time in my Christian life have I ever been wooed or tempted to follow after false prophets and He has established strong fences to guard my mind and heart. Draw close to Him. Honor Him. Praise Him. For He is the only One worthy of praise.
