Okay we had a GREAT time at Denver March Powwow all of the dancers in every class we saw were wonderful! Mom & I did 4 rounds during Intertribal. I could feel our Grandmothers & Grandfathers. Tocabe outdid themselves again with the melt in your mouth frybread ndn tacos. All of the creative artists in the booths were very inspiring. Gratitude, peace & love to all who put on a wonderful powwow & many Nations were represented. I have to say that I was absolutely disturbed, disgusted & enraged by one of the booths. I wish I had a can of spray paint on me when I saw it. A pro-fracking booth REALLY?!!!! I almost kept walking & shaking my head. My oldest son was with me. I had to stand my ground at least for him. I turned back around & gave the stunned lobbyists the what for & told them they had no right to be there & they were disgusting & disrespectful. Who in their right minds thought that was okay or even the slightest bit appropriate. I was spoken to with misinformed & shaking of brochures at me. Misinformed MY ASS! I wanted to flip their table over & shove their stupid fliers with clean blue water drops down their throats. I kept thinking WTF... Peace Sheilia... WTF... Peace Sheilia... Luckily peace & the strong man my son is helped me back down to ground. I dont know how much they paid to be there but I have to say I am all for free speech but WTF!!! Shaking again. Peace Sheilia... Okay I am going outside now to plant some peas, spinach & kale & spread some compost around. Nothing like worm castings to ground me.
