Olufemi Iseyemi Folakemi A disabled person cannot be a nurse because nurses MUST be able to act on behalf of their pts untill they are able to do so; a nurse must be sound in all academic domain, i.e. COGNITIVE, AFFECTIVE & PSYCHOMOTOR DOMAIN. An average Nigerian Nurse has been through moral, academic and physical trainning for nothing less than 5 to 7yrs. They are professionals in their field. They are knowledgible about their patients, they are also overstressed with the ratio of 2- 30 pts most time on the wards and 100s of pts in the clinics. They are patients advocate, confind in them, be patient with them for they are made to bite more than they can swallow most times in terms of workload. They are pts guidian angel, do not undermine or under rate their efforts, u might end up missing their great services. NURSING IS DIFFERENT FROM MEDICINE, THEY ARE DIFFERENT PROFESSIONS. DO NOT MISPLACE THE TWO FOR THEY DO DIFFERENT THINGS TO ENHANCE PATIENTS HEALTH.
