On 16th June 2013, when North Indian Himalayan destinations of Uttarakhand faced the savage vagaries of weather in form of flash flood and landslide bringing untold miseries to the pilgrims, the neighboring state of Himachal did not entirely escape the fury. Continuous rain caused roads in Kinnaur region collapse and boulders blocking some. The vehicular movement on Karcham - Sangla - Rakcham sector and some portion of National highway NH 22 was disrupted.
