On 18th of September 2013, when CITU Worker’s Union of Tenzin hospital was protesting peacefully regarding their demands, something suspicious was geared up by the Hospital Authority with the help of Police official which in resulted a brutal Lathicharged on the protestors. Numbers of protestors were injured severely. Leaders of CITU Jagat Ram, Vijender Mehra, Munish Sharma, Kishori Dadwalia, Bachan Singh Negi, Prem Chandel and six other members were arrested and a case (of 307 and other different sections) was registered against them, and set an example of “Mockery of Democracy” before the society. This Tezin hospital runs by an “Asylumed Tibetan” Mr. Tenzin who pretends to be very close to the government and acting as an autocrat and shows no hospitality to the hospital employees. Eyewitnessed and People of Shimla city criticised this shameful and heinous act of police and hospital authority. DYFI State and District Committee strongly condemned this shameful act and demands immediate suspension of SHO Chota Shimla Thana and other police personnel who were involved in this act. DYFI also demands immediate intervention of Municipal Corporation and Government to form a committee to investigate the functioning of this hospital.
