On 1st November 2014 the Institute of Welsh Maritime Historical Studies (MOROL) will be holding their 6th Annual Conference in Porth Eirias, Colwyn Bay. There will be a number of talks throughout the day, and exhibition stands. So plenty to come and see. More about the Conference details from MOROL soon. It is a time for us to show case our local maritime heritage hence we have the opportunity to use the retail area in Porth Eirias to do just that! The idea is to have an exhibition that will include the work that Ships Timbers has been doing recently, but it will also include the work and activities of local groups with maritime links. The exhibition space is available now, and will run until the New Year. It really is an exciting opportunity, and a great way to share and promote the maritime interests, and activities of local groups. We have contacted a number of people already and have some displays under development. As and when the displays are complete we will post here, and on Twitter with an update. Ships Timbers Museum Boundary includes Llanddulas, Colwyn Bay, Rhos on Sea, Llandudno, Great Orme, Deganwy, Conwy River, Conwy, Penmaenmawr.
