On 3 March, Monday, ETAG offers 2 workshops to teachers of English as well as to any interested people Spend a day off with us and grow professionally. 12:00 – 12:50pm Rusiko Tkemaladze, Head of the Foreign Languages Unit at National Assessment and Examinations Center (NAEC) will speak about a new and challenging format of the English language test for university entrants to go live this summer. She will highlight the main points of a modified English language test,speak about new listening and writing tasks, assessment criteria, marking schemes, importance of the change, ways to prepare for a new format exam, etc. etc. She will also answer the questions related to Teachers certification exam. 13:00- 13:50pm Fiona Dunlop from Wimbledon School of English London will provide the audience with a number of hints to aid the smooth running of an exam preparation course and make the course satisfying for both student and teacher. She will cover more practical areas of activity type and various study techniques to promote learner autonomy in an exam class. There will be plenty of opportunity for participants to share ideas and activities that have worked for them. The session will end by looking at the bigger picture of a student’s studies and how entering Cambridge main suite prep. courses equips the student with transferable skills to other courses, exams and language learning in general.
