On 9/12/13 at 9am, the San Diego Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on whether to amend the Local Coastal Plan to allow the La Jolla seal rookery to be closed to swimming during pupping season. The City Council voted three years ago to do this, and Bryan Pease had to file a lawsuit to force the Planning Commission to finally hear the permit. Once they vote, it will go back to the Council for a final reading. Please come on 9/12 to show your support and fill out a comment card to speak if you would like.
