On August 14, 2013 at approximately 9:12 pm, Farmington Police responded to the area of the Hutchinson Football Stadium, 2200 Sunset Avenue, in reference to a drive by shooting. Witnesses advised a blue in color passenger car was traveling southbound on Dustin, when someone from inside the vehicle fired several rounds from a rifle in the direction of the stadium. At the time of the shooting, several people were in the stadium stands observing practice. It was discovered that several bullets struck the press box. No one was injured during this incident. At this time no suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
