On August 16, the Adirondack Interpretive Center will host a groundbreaking symposium on human diversity in the Adirondacks. As populations shift, environmental managers have begun to realize that its imperative to our human relationship with nature that we reach out to diverse, under-served groups. People of all backgrounds have a right to discover and enjoy nature, and in order to preserve it, they must learn how to protect and steward it. The symposium is open to the public.
