On August 17, 1969, 44 years ago today, Hurricane Camille slammed into Mississippi. The Category 5 Hurricane winds destroyed businesses, homes, infrastructure, and the ecosystem. Many lives were lost. Today, take a moment to remember those affected by the storm and the resilience of our community. As we are currently in the peak of hurricane season, we need to be prepared.
