On Day 4, Beth asks: Do you embrace or struggle with the fact that our God is filled with joy? In my margin I wrote, I easily see a God of grace, mercy, judgment, concern, compassion...but joy is harder to envision. A deep belly laugh, a twinkle in the eyes?....although I delight at this idea, I admit I struggle with the image. Ive been pondering this all day. Why does my mind go more easily to a joyful Santa when I try to picture joy in my God, even though Ive walked and talked with Him since I was eight years old? Im not concerned about this, more curious.....and am expectantly hopeful He will begin to unfold for me the mysteries of His joyful character in the days ahead. How about you??
