On December 9, 1989, the first Tzu Chi USA office opened in Alhambra, California. Twenty-five years later, there are now offices in twenty-seven states, with clinics, schools, and bookstores spread all across the country. Every day, Tzu Chi volunteers nationwide are out serving in their communities, providing cash and material assistance, compassionate medical care, character education classes, litter cleanup in parks and beaches, and so much more.
