On Friday, January 9th, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the most beautiful women in the universe were introduced at Doral Downtown Park for the grand Miss Universe Welcome Event. This event was supported by the City of Doral and presented by Santa Barbara Airlines and PAWA Dominicana. Special guests at the event included: the Mayor of Doral, Luigi Boria, the City Council, Donald J. Trump , Paula M. Shugart, President of the Miss Universe Organization, and Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler. The MISS UNIVERSE pageant is the most important global beauty event. Each year a new queen is crowned. Doral will host the contestants this year and for two weeks, the world of beauty will concentrate on this touristic and business city of over 50,000 residents, located in Miami-Dade County in South Florida. The upscale event kicked off in the Doral Government Center with the Santa Barbara Airlines and PAWA Dominicana Private VIP Cocktail. Contestants of the 63rd Annual MISS UNIVERSE® Pageant took the stage later in the evening for thier special introductions and runway show. Throughout the event, invitees enjoyed live DJ, cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres, and food stations.
