On Friday we responded to a request to assist Ronald McDonald House Mater families, due to loosing power the families staying there lost most of their fresh and frozen food. On Friday Cass and I went shopping and Cass bought most of the food purchased at Coles as well as the $50 gift card Coles donated. We delivered meat and some veggies on Friday night ($200 worth). I also contacted Sue who runs GMN vegie prepi ( gmnfruitandveg/ ) immediately she offered her services and also contacted Royal Chef Selections ( royalchefselection/ ) both businesses are located in thecareas that were hardest hit by the storm. Despite the damage their businesses received they were both more than happy to help. I just received confirmation that both deliveries were received and that all families staying at Ronald McDonald House Mater all received food and there was even left overs, which were also distributed amongst guests at Ronald McDonald House Herston.
