On Halloween, keep your pets safe! There are many real dangers that your furry friends face during Halloween. Here are a few Pet Safety Tips for the holiday: 1. Keep candy out of reach. Chocolate can be very dangerous for pets, and candy containing xylitol can also present problems for Fido. 2. Although pumpkins are considered nontoxic, they can create stomach upset if your pets nibble on them, as can other decorative fall plants like corn. 3. Watch out for candles if you choose to light your jack o lantern! Your dog or cat could easily knock over the lit flame or become singed if overly curious. 4. Take care to make sure your pet doesnt dart outside when you answer the door for trick-or-treaters! 5. Unless your pet is very social, keep him or her in a separate room.
