On Independence Day, I heard from my friend Christine Banks that the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincolns death next year will include a replica of the Lincoln Funeral Train crossing the country on its original route. The original route was from Washington, D.C. on April 21, 1865 with the train carrying the slain president passing through Baltimore, Harrisburg, Philadelphia, New York City, Albany, Buffalo, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis, Michigan City, Chicago and then into Springfield on May 2, 1865. The reenactment is expected to take place on the same dates in 2015. For more details as they become available, go to: the2015lincolnfuneraltrain
