On Jan. 22, the US Supreme Court heard oral argument in Abramski v. US, a case where a retired policeman who lawfully purchased a handgun and then lawfully sold it to his uncle was convicted of falsely stating that he was the actual purchaser at the time of the first sale. The Justices appeared to take a dim view of the Governments argument that this illegal.
