On January 8th in the Riga Society House, the first of a series of Citizens Dialogues with members of the European Commission has taken place. Euro Commissioners Valdis Dombrovskis (Euro and social dialogue), Frans Timmermans (Inter- institutionalism, and Rule of Law) and Corina Cretu (Regional Policy) addressed some topics of big importance for the Baltic Region and for the whole European Union. They shared their opinions on the Investment Plan, energy security and the situation in Ukraine. It was interesting to hear the plans of the European Commission in light of the Latvian Presidency of the European Council.
