On July 21, while on a charter trip in the San Juan Islands, my dear friend, Holly Scott had to make the unimaginably painful decision to have her beloved Grey (aka Bunny) put down after being attacked by a coyote. Emergency vet care, including surgery, was not able to repair the damage, and he was in pain while fighting to survive. Poor Holly had to give the order over the phone to set him free, and was not able to be there to say goodbye in person to her loyal companion of the past 14 years. Yesterday she arrived home from her charter to a painfully lonely house, missing her most beloved pet, and will now need to confront the staggering stack of vet bills. While on the trip, many loving and supportive friends not only sent words of comfort but offered help as well. For anyone wanting to assist, Holly would be extremely grateful.
