On July 3rd, Louisville Film Society is hosting another 2nd Street Flicks and screening Stripes under the bridge. I will be out of town but am trying to help them recruit some volunteers for that day. Several shifts are available even if you cant stay the whole time. See below. Let me know in comments or PM if you can help. XO If you cant volunteer and just want to enjoy a night out for free, the move starts at 9pm. Its pretty awesome watching a movie under the bridge!! Shifts: 3:00 p.m. - one or two volunteers to help George pick up sound equipment from his NuLu office and deliver, along with projector and screen, to 2nd Street. Speakers will be placed on both sides of 2nd Street before it closes at 6:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m. - six or more volunteers to help set up street barricades, chairs, inflatable screen and membership table 7:00 p.m. - two volunteers to man membership table. Once movie starts at 9:00 we can trade around who is covering table if you want to sit in audience (last week volunteers just seemed to gravitate to membership table during movie) 11:00 p.m. - six or more volunteers to tear down street barricades, chairs, movie screen, speakers, etc. Our equipment will need to be packed and transported back to Georges office down the street.
