On July 9, 2014, shortly after 2:00 P.M., Officer David Fortier responded to the Joshua Hyde Library for a report of DVD thefts. An investigation lead to a suspect being identified as Yuri Miranda, 20 years of age, of Sturbridge, MA. Officer Fortier and Officer Button made contact with Miranda at his residence. Miranda was in possession of the DVDs and was subsequently arrested. The value was in excess of $250.00. A total of 18 DVDs were taken. Miranda will be arraigned in Dudley District Court on Thursday July 10th.
