On June 13, 1972 my father died from a massive cerebral hemorrhage. I was 7 years old. At the time, he was the Budget Director for the City of Springfield. Some time prior to his death, during the grand opening planning for the Springfield Civic Center, my Dad came home and told me that he had connected with someone who knew someone who knew David Cassidys manager and had requested for him to come to Springfield. (I was a die-hard fan.) Sadly, my father passed 3 months before the concert and although, I did go see him perform, it was, to say the least, sad. Today, my 50th birthday, Masslive posted this article. The headline was on the bottom of the front page of their website. I am sure this did not happen by chance. I know there is a greater meaning here and I am, over- joyed. What a gift!
