On June 29, 2014 at 1:28 AM, deputies responded to Podunk Road in the Town of Ulysses for a report of a personal injury motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival in the area of 5300 Podunk Road deputies found a 1998 Ford overturned resting on the passenger side approximately twenty yards from the roadway. There were no occupants in or around the vehicle. A short time later, deputies located Raymond J. Clinton age 59 of Trumansburg, New York the registered owner of the vehicle, walking in the Village of Trumansburg. Deputies determined Clinton was the operator of the vehicle and was intoxicated at the time of the accident. Clinton was charged with two counts of Driving While Intoxicated, Failure to Keep Right and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Motor Vehicle Accident. Clinton was released and is to appear in the Town of Ulysses Court on July 22, 2014 at 9:30 AM.
