On March 05, 2014 at Barangay Iguid, Mayor Stephany Uy-Tan led the distribution of rice and seeds as assisted by the Office of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD) and the Office of the City Agriculture. 361 households received 9-kilo sack of rice as part of the Hunger Mitigation Rice Subsidy Program. On the other hand, 75 households received various seeds of pepper, ampalaya, sitao, pechay and eggplant. Out of the 75 seeds beneficiaries, 41 were made through financial assistance, 15 are Rural Improvement Club (RIC) members, 15 4Ps beneficiaries, and 4 are indigent families.
