On March 8, 2014 we arrested Rajhan R. Davis, age 31, who lives in the 1500 Building of Winteringham Village and are holding him on $350,000 bail in reference to multiple criminal charges. As the result of an eight month investigation into over 20 Burglaries we have arrested Rajhan Davis. Detective Roger Hull of the Toms River Police Department worked closely with Brick Police Detective Robert Sheppard in identifying Mr. Davis as being involved in criminal activity in Brick by committing three burglaries at Ballys Fitness. A break in the case came when Mr. Davis used a stolen credit card to place funds on his government provided cellular phone. Subpoenas were served on the cellular carrier which provided the direct link to the suspect. On March 6, 2014 a search warrant was executed at the residence of Mr. Davis which yielded stolen property from Toms River and Brick. While the Detectives were preparing the warrants, and prior to his arrest, Mr. Davis was apprehended by Ptl. Francis Bopp and Ptl. Ryan Rush as he attempted to gain entry to parked cars in the Pathmark parking lot. Mr. Davis was charged with 8 counts of burglary, 6 counts of credit card theft, 5 counts of property theft, 3 counts of credit card fraud, 3 counts of attempted credit card fraud, 1 count of identity theft, and 1 count of using a computer access device for theft. Toms River Police Chief Mitchell Little, along with Chief Nils Bergquist of Brick, commend the cooperative working relationship between the two departments to solve this multi-jurisdictional criminal activity.
