On Mawlid and Christmas! They celebrate Christmas cos they beleive the son has born to the Allaah Naudhubillaah How can a Muslim celebrate it? And its meaning is same as congratulation For the son has born to the Allaah or similarly so we are not believing that the Prophet isa was the son of Allaah Alhamdulillaah, so how can we say same in return to them? Other thing is celebrating birthday is not part of Islam, The Muslims who on quran and Sunnah never celebrate the 12th rabbi ul awwal as the birthday of Prophet saw cos its not in islam, and even companions of prophet saw never celebrated it. if It was a thing which was the traditional of celebrating every yr than there shouldnt be any confusions over the date of birthday of Prophet saw. There isnt any authentic report of date of birth of Prophet saw and no less than eight views and opinions over the date of birth of Prophet saw, some historians and scholars like ibn hajar rh, ibn abu Barr and others says it was rajab and some says 12th rabbi ul awwal some says 2nd this was the preferred opinion of Abū Maʿshar al-Sindī, some says 8th this was the opinion of the Andalusian scholar Ibn Ḥazm. Some says 10th This has been reported by Ibn Asakir some says rabbi ul akhar some even say ramadan and muharram, So its a common sense if it was things which people was used to celebrate every year than there shouldnt be differences of opinions over even the date of birth of Prophet saw. And that proves that there is nothing about celebrating birthday in islam. If it is not part of Islam and not proven from Prophet saw than surely its a tradition of Christian or disbelievers, so we should fear after the hadith of bukhari where Prophet saw said whatever is not proven from us is rejected in islam and who does imitate disbelievers is one of them.
