On May 15, two Palestinian children were shot and killed during a Nakba Day demonstration. Siam Nowarah, the father of one of the victims, recently started a petition to the US State Department and the EU Council of Foreign Ministers, asking for travel restrictions to be issued for Israeli commanders who oversee such crimes. As citizens from across the world, we call on you to hold Israeli commanders and soldiers implicated in grave humans rights abuses in the West Bank and Gaza accountable, because the Israeli military and judicial systems have failed to do so. Europe and the United States regularly deny visas to foreign nationals who order or participate in acts of torture and extrajudicial killings. We ask you to apply the same standards to Israeli commanders implicated in criminal acts in Palestinian territory.
