On Monday at the ACS meeting, I met three eeting attendees who are staying at the motel where I am staying. They were going to take a cab to the meeting. I asked if they wanted to go in my car, so the four of us went in my car. That evening, we went back to the motel with one additional person. I saw a talk on solar energy. The speaker mentioned how metal catalysts with solar energy can convert water into hydrogen an oxygen. The speaker predicted that 1000 years from now, there would be a Starbucks on every city block, and on one of the Starbucks, a group of people would meet and say that the people in the 21st century were very smart to not burn coal, oil, and gas, but to instead convert carbon dioxide and water into fuel.
