On November 20th 1973... I don´t use to remember that night with the excitement some people show me in conversations about Moon´s passing out. In fact I get a little bit sad, since the possible reasons why he used to live his live the way he did. I was not him, I was not there so I can´t keep conjecturing about it all. But the DVD is remarkable. First night of USA tour, the only complete Quadrophenia concert we have, we can see John playing his horn... But, as important as Moon passes out, or even more, is Pete´s reaction on it: Can anybody play the drums? I mean somebody good. Who on earth could have had such reaction? No one! No other band! That´s the real fact that have marked that night, as Moon would pass out in other concerts and it´s not so discussed. Just my opinion. About the band´s reaction, some moments can be in highlight: Pete comes to Roger and tells him about Moon. Roger shakes his head down and back, so he can look at the drum kit with certain discretion. John acts like himself: he has a look at it and keep playing. So does the band. And WGFA gains a drum bridge only with Pete playing a cymbal with his hand. lol The rest is history: Scott Halpin comes to the stage, does what every Who fan always dreams about and put his name on the band´s story. In my opinion, fair audio/video recordings (don´t know if the audio is taken from the DVD). There are two CDs from that night. Some links on comments can help you guys. Sorry for the tiring text. lol Again, any story/photo from that night is highly welcome! Marc Starcke, Michael Starcke and Andy Jackson have posted some splendid photos from that night too.
