On October 21st, Congregation Etz Chaim was vandalized by a man who had set out that day to kill Jews. On November 8th, the faith and civic communities of DuPage flocked to Etz Chaim in a tremendous show of support for their synagogue and condemnation of the hate crime. I was honored to be invited by the temples leadership to read a letter of support from County Board Chairman Dan Cronin, as well as offer a few remarks myself.
