On October 30, 2014, Chelan County Deputies responded to three separate reports of burglaries to area businesses in Chelan. There was only minimal damage to any of the three businesses, and it appears cash was the only item stolen. One of the business owners was able to retrieve surveillance video of the suspect, which showed the suspect as being a male in his late 30’s to early 40’s wearing loose clothing, thin beard, and had short wavy styled hair that appeared red. A separate business owner stated they had a male subject come into their store the night prior, asking where he could buy a certain type of computer. The subject was directed to the nearby Radio Shack. This male subject matched the description of the suspect in the surveillance video. Deputies were able to view surveillance video at Radio Shack as well and created a photograph of the suspect. Deputies went to various Motels in the area and found one that said the male subject was staying with them. Once Deputies had the suspect’s name, they soon realized he had a Department of Corrections warrant and was from Alaska. The picture of the suspect the Sheriff’s Office had on file matched the picture in the surveillance video. Deputies came back to the motel later and located the suspect, identified as 40 year old, Jeremy Keen who has a general delivery in Wenatchee and ties to Alaska. An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the three businesses. Keen was booked into the Chelan County Regional Justice Center for Burglary 2nd Degree, Malicious Mischief 3rd Degree and Theft 3rd Degree. Keen is potentially facing further charges as the investigation continues.
