On Saturday 10th August the team travelled to Tunnel Barn Fishery to compete in the semi-final of the Supercup Competition. After some good results by some of the team members in practice matches in previous weeks, we were hopeful of being one of the 5 teams to go through to the competition final. In one of the closest ever matches for this competition, we were absolutely gutted to fail to reach the final by 1 point. This was despite Geoff (Sick note) Arnold and Rob (Boy wonder) Anstee coming 2nd and 3rd respectively on their lakes. Team on the day with place points: Geoff Arnold (2), Rob Anstee (3), Mark Cross (5), Kevin Shellie (8), Ron Cuthbert (10), David Rees (10).
