On Saturday 15th November The Stan Bowley Trust will be holding a charity Ball at Alton Towers to raise funds and awareness for CyberKnife cancer treatment. On the night there is a live auction and a silent auction. BSPD have kindly donated some goodies which include a cut out Tazer, red dot sticker & a pack of Haribo motivational sweets. To complete the package is Elite Yellow Metal Badge #10 complete with Certificate of Authenticity signed by Mason. Alan (Stan) Bowley was a Sergeant at Leek in Staffordshire who was diagnosed with an inoperable cancer in 2007. The Trust was set up to raise funds to send Stan to America for treatment by CyberKnife, which at the time was a new method for treating Cancer which was unavailable in the UK. The treatment was initially successful, but unfortunately Stan died a few years later in 2011.The Trust continues to raise funds for other patients to be treated by CyberKnife here in the UK.
