On Saturday, 30th August Marco Paulo Restaurant in Mount Edgecombe - TopicsExpress

On Saturday, 30th August Marco Paulo Restaurant in Mount Edgecombe was full to capacity with Robin Hood Foundation supporters who raised an incredible R35 000 for the Foundation. Co-ordinated by dedicated volunteer, Tunya Schoeman, the evening kicked off with the sale of surprise envelopes followed by Tunyas welcome and a speech by Cindy Norcott, founder and chairlady of the Robin Hood Foundation. Cindy touched on the past nine years of the Foundation whose slogan is taking from the rich to give to the poor. We do however believe that this should be changed to blessing the rich by giving to the poor, explains Cindy. Supporters always get so much more, out of being involved, than they ever imagined. The sharing of Mezze style starters was next on the agenda, then a delicious main course was served and the auction by Gus Anderson followed. Gus quickly and effectively bid off all the seven lots which ranged from pamper to sport to food lovers packages. Kim Griffith Jones, co-ordinator of the Foundation ended off by thanking the guests, successful bidders, sponsors of prizes, Marco Paulo and Tunya for making the evening such a success.
