On Saturday, Bill Foleys Brown Coats walked in an effort to broaden suicide awareness and suicide prevention. The key-note speaker said it so well. When suicide touches your family it comes with shame and it comes with confusion and fear. You become a part of a club that you never wished to join. But as you travel the road as a survivor you realize there is no shame, no selfishness ... suicide is not a choice someone makes in the light of life. Death by suicide happens in a deep, dark place that is nearly impossible for most of us to comprehend. We thank each of you who prayed, donated and walked! If Bill had been able to comprehend the love that surrounded him, from his family, colleagues and friends ... he would surely still be with us today. Wishing all of you peace and joy in your life.
