On Saturday I had a customer pull up on a vacant loading zone at 1pm to collect a large purchase. His rear wheels were inside the front of the loading zone. I carried his item to his car within 60 seconds of him pulling up. A large female blonde parking metre attendant was already in the process of commencing giving him a ticket. I apologised and informed her that I was simply loading the purchase in the rear of his large ute (Loading!) and was told in no uncertain terms he would receive a ticket ($70.00). This attendant was straight out rude and obnoxious. Fact is this loading zone is rarely used on Saturdays by delivery drivers. The very next vehicle to pull up was a similar ute but it had its business clearly marked on the side...but he parked there for over an hour whilst he went about his business in town, no loading, no unloading just using the free parking because he had a sticker! Most of the parking metres and loading zones in this area operate until 4pm on Saturday. Yet later in the day I drive and park near Anaconda, Supercheap etc and find that not only have the loading zones time concluded but so have metered spaces! How is this consistent!!
