On Saturday, July 13, fourteen people gathered at the picnic - TopicsExpress

On Saturday, July 13, fourteen people gathered at the picnic shelter at South Whidbey Community Park to learn about WAMEND – the Washington Coalition to Amend the Constitution – and to talk about ways we can assist with getting the word out and getting people to gather signatures on the petitions that will get the measure on the November ballot. If you would like the detailed Notes from our meeting, please email me and I’ll send them to you. This summer, we will be looking for 3600 people who are willing to help gather signatures from January through June, 2014. There will be on-line and in-person trainings on how to signature gather offered here on Whidbey in the fall. We will also have a helpful list of places where you will be able to find people willing to sign the petition on Whidbey. As we said at our meeting, this is a non-partisan issue that is supported across of the political spectrum. There will be an on-line petition within the next month that will invite people to sign up to become a signature gatherer. If you already know you’re willing to do this, please send a note to Karencitizen@yahoo (otherwise known as Kim Jordan). You can learn more about WAMEND at the website: wamend.org/
