On Saturday, November 2nd, both the Boys and Girls Cross Country teams ran a really tough course to qualify for the State Championship meet! The Boys’ team placed 8th of 16 teams, only one point behind 7th place. Competing against 14 teams, the Lady Cobras tied for second place and moved to third with the tie-breaking 6th runner. Three female runners came home with medals for individual performances. From the Girls’ race, Lexi Wilkes placed 3rd with a time of 21:17. Kenzie Fitzgerald came in 4th with at 21:50. Libby Rath ran 12th place in 22:35. Also helping to qualify for state were Addy King who placed 15th in 22:52; Drianna Mustin who crossed the line in 24:47 for 28th place; Lexie Boschi, finishing for 33rd in 25:02; and Liz Facio with a 43rd place finish in 26:18. Grant Navakuku brought home a medal for a 4th place finish in a time of 18:04. Also running for the men were Mat Weiss in 21st with a 19:15; Tommy Cuthbertson in 50th with a 20:56; Jeremy Soto just three seconds behind Tommy in 51st with a time of 20:59; Man Bui wrapping up the top 5 runners in 59th with a time of 21:35. Ben Garcia was slowed by an injury, but came across the line in 69th place with a time of 22:19, and Devin Carpenter finished the lineup in 75th with a time of 22:33. All great performances for these Cobras. Come support our Cobras at the State Championship meet!
