On Sept 30, 1982 @ about 9:15, The devil and his handy work were busy with trying to kill me, steal my future and destroy my life. I had emergency surgery the night of that wreck for internal injuries. I spent five days in ICU in Nacogdoches medical Center to see if I was going to thrive from the multiple injuries and breaks to my spine, pelvic girdle, right side full of broken ribs and a lung that was bleeding/collapsed, badly broke right wrist, collarbone/shoulder, a dislocated hip and messed up ankle. I was shipped to Methodist in Houston on Oct 5th and spent my 23rd birthday of Oct. 7th, in surgery to put me back together from a dislocated thoracic fracture/break in my upper spine. A break that should have paralyzed me and stopped my breathing. I had been picked up off the ground , an moved so many times before they found this spinal injury. Now if you do not believe that was God...I know it was! I spent six months in a body cast, learned to walk again and do for myself. As of this evening, and I might add it is ALL due to Gods hand on me, his miraculous healing and unfailing love, I have lived thirty two years past that terrible wreck. I have walked, talked, danced, functioned independently and worked when medical science thought different. His unconditional love and always being there! I have gone thru unwanted divorce, wreck and some hard, terrible things in my life but NEVER have I ever been without all my needs provided and never have had to struggle financially. Never underestimate the power of Gods goodness I am living proof!
