On September 19th, the Academy for Academics and Arts (AAA) celebrated International Peace Day by displaying Pinwheels for Peace. The project began as a collaboration between the Art Teacher and School Counselor. They co-taught a lesson with each class about peace and reflecting ideas of peace through the art of their individual pinwheels. In a culminating event, all classes toured the outdoor display of pinwheels placed around the front campus, using the Buffalo Soldier Monument as an anchor.
