On Steppenwolf, A Tract, a chapter in the classic, Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse, is one of the most powerful pieces of psychoanalysis Ive ever read (not that Ive explored a lot). This treatise is a third persons description and subsequent analysis of the image the protagonist holds of himself in his own eyes.
