On Sunday October 19, 2014 at the Flamboyan Manor these four individuals picked up Petitions for Nomination for Placement on the Ballot for Election of President of the Newark Puerto Rican Parade. They are yours truly Ramon Luis Rodriguez, Tiffany Huertas, Butchie Nieves and Carmen Rodriguez. All agreed to abide by the election rules as set forth at the Newark Puerto Rican Community Emergency Meeting that day. All understand that our candidacy is contingent upon collection of 100 signatures on an official candidates petition. All petitions should be submitted no later than 4:00PM on Sunday November 16, 2014. Yesterday I mentioned that our friend Millie Mendez was a candidate. I must say that I did make a mistake and hereby apologize and correct it. Though I would have liked her participation as a candidate I know that she will be an integral part in the process.
